Drivers traveling east on state Route 32, from just west of Bach Buxton Road to Old State Route 74, should be on the lookout for a new upcoming lane closure.

The Ohio Department of Transportation shared the closure information on March 7.

The agency notes that a single-lane closure will be in place at the location on state Route 32 on March 13 and March 14 between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Traffic will be maintained.

The single-lane closure is due to bridge work.

The state Route 32/Bach Buxton interchange is part of the Eastern Corridor program.

ODOT shared that the project will “create a new, full-service diamond interchange along state Route 32 immediately east of the existing Elick Lane intersection by realigning and extending Bach Buxton Road over state Route 32 and connecting with Old State Route 74 on the north side.”

ODOT noted that John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $42.5 million for the project.

All work is scheduled to be finished by fall 2024.
