The Kiwanis Club of Southern Hills Region held its Awards Dinner on June 15 at the Firehouse in Russellville at 6:45 p.m. to award this year’s four local high school scholarship recipients and three fifth-grade Safety Poster Contest winners. This year’s scholarships were awarded to:

McKinzie Dotson, Eastern High, who will be attending Mount St. Joseph University to pursue a teaching degree in elementary education; Kaylee Burton, Fayetteville Perry High, will be attending Wright State University with her ultimate goal to become a doctor; Carson Miles, Georgetown High, will be attended Wilmington College general studies and will be playing basketball; and Raegan Spiller, RULH High will be attending Northern Kentucky University.
