The Village of Sardinia is busy preparing for its 3rd Annual Car and Truck Show set for Saturday, Aug. 25.
In 2016, the big car and truck show drew 89 vehicles and last year in 2017 more than 115 vehicles were on display. But according to Sardinia Mayor Greg Cassidy he anticipates over 150 vehicles to show up for the show.
The entire downtown area is expected to be covered with cars and trucks.
“Last years show was huge,” Mayor Cassidy said. “We’ve worked out all the bugs in the last of couple shows and we are really looking forward to this year’s event.”
This year 55 special awards will be presented as well as dash plaques to the first 100 entries. The show will have pavement parking.
The entry fee is only $10 per vehicle and registration is set to begin at 9 a.m. until noon. Awards will be presented promptly at 4 p.m.
“We’ll be having a DJ who will keep the crowds entertained with great music,” Mayor Cassidy said. “We’ll also have a Split-the-Pot raffle and four big prizes that will also be raffled off. Of course we’ll have lots of door prizes to give away.”
This years Sardinia Car and Truck Show will also be offering at least three great places to eat, including breakfast beginning at 8 in the morning at the American Legion, only about 200 feet from the car show area.
Lunch options will begin at 11 a.m. prepared by the Sardinia Fire and EMS and deserts will be offered by the Local Girl Scouts.
The event will also include a Flag Raising Ceremony at noon presented by the George A. Lambert American Legion, Sardinia Post 755.
Rain date for the event will be (Saturday, September 8). For more information please contact Jim at (513)-515-8452 or Tina at (513)509-5689.
