The 2016 Brown County Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast was held Monday, Jan. 30 and following a breakfast catered by the Country Inn.
The chamber had Probate/Juvenile Court Judge Danny Bubp swear-in the new members of the 2017 Chamber Executive team with Darrin Schneider was sworn-in as this year’s president, Melissa Layman is vice president, Linda Beckelhimer is the new treasurer and Diana Grooms is secretary.
Brian Elliott (former president) took over as chairman of the board and Jennifer Patrick assumed the position of communications and public relations.
The business breakfast was opened with a prayer from State Representative Doug Green. Following the breakfast, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Bill Rumpke, Jr. who accepted the Award for the late Todd Rumpke, CEO of the Rumpke who passed away in September of 2016 after losing his battle with cancer.
The 2016 Drucker Award was presented to HealthSource of Ohio. The Drucker Award of Distinction is an annual presentation recognizing local businesses that have accomplished “Achievement in Business Excellence”. The award takes into account evidence of leadership, vision and innovation as well as exhibiting understanding of the principles of quality management.
HealthSource of Ohio has grown to serve over 60,000 patients annually from communities located in Southwest Ohio since 1976. HealthSource provides access to family medicine pediatrics, dental Ob/Gyn, behavioral health, pharmacy and outreach and enrollment services. CEO for HealthSource Kim Patton accepted the award.
“We are very honored and thankful to the Brown County Chamber of Commerce for this award,” Patton said. “We are also very honored to be among the many other Drucker Award recipients.”
HealthSource of Ohio recently opened a new office in Georgetown and according to Patton, will have the capacity to serve an additional 2,800 patients.
Following the awards presentations, a raffle was held for the centerpieces on each table upcoming events were announced including:
• A Talent Show April 1 & 8
• The annual Golf Outing, June 9
• SummerFest, August 4 & 5
•Reverse Raffle, November 4.
