On July 20 at the Mt. Orab Park, two great bands will perform during the ‘Concert in the Park’ series in the village.

At 5:30 p.m. “Looking East” Band will take the stage and perform until 7:30 p.m.

Looking East Band is an exciting Jackson Browne Tribute band based in Cincinnati. The band performs material from the very first Jackson Browne album to the most recent.

The group has three different vocalists sharing lead vocals and over 200 years of musical experience from its members.

Looking East Band will be singing classics like ‘Doctor My Eyes, The Pretender, Running on Empty, I’m Alive, For Everyman, Late for the Sky and many more.

“This is a great band that performed here last year and had the audience up and dancing,” said Woody Whittington, coordinator of the Concert in the Park series. “We’re happy to have them back again. I hope everyone will come out and support both our bands again.”

At 8 p.m. the featured concert will be performed by the “Noah Smith Band.” The band will perform until 10 p.m.

“Noah Smith is a well known entertainer here in Brown County,” Whittington said. “He grew up right here in Brown County and is a Western Brown High School graduate.”

Smith’s music is said to be a capsule of childhood faith, ambition, a little bit of love, God’s good word and the uphill climb to living an American Boys Dream.

In 2017 Smith received the ‘Cincinnati Entertainment Award for best singer/songwriter.

“Of course our ‘Beer Garden” will be up and running which helps raise money for Mt. Orab’s Christmas Parade Committee,” Whittington said. “We’ll also be having a 50/50 drawing, and we always have a fun time between the two bands performances, and the kids get to participate in hoola-hoop contests, limbo and line dancing to name a few. They get out there and really have a ball!

“Please come out and bring your lawn chairs and just enjoy these two great acts.”
