On Aug. 28, Jessica Quittschreiber organized a very special Fishing Tournament which was held at TJ’s Fishing Lake in Mt. Orab. The tournament was a fundraiser for a very good cause.

Jessica is 12 years old and in 7th grade at Mt. Orab Middle School. She spends much of her time sitting in her homemade lemonade stand, called “Jess’ Place” selling either lemonade or ice tea in the summer and hot chocolate and cider in the winter months.

The fishing tournament helped Jessica raise funds which she will donate to the Mt. Orab Shop With a Cop Program. Her goal was to exceed last years goal of $1,200, which she did.

She sets her stand up in front of the Kroger store and at several other events that go on throughout the year. Recently she set up at the Mt. Orab Park during the last Concert in the Park series and sold lots and lots of lemonade and ice tea.

According to Jessica’s father Dan Quittschreiber, his daughter is a real go-getter and she has worked very hard at her mission. He said that all total, she raised $1,267 at the tournament which put her over her goal of $1,500.
