The Mt. Orab Auto Mall is now open for business.
Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram customers began coming in for sales and service on Friday, September 2.
“We are having a soft opening celebration at all three locations, Beechmont Ford, the current Mt. Orab Ford location and right here at the auto mall,” said Auto Mall Manager Mike Carmichael.
He added that the auto mall project has been keeping everyone very busy.
“We have hired 14 people between the two stores in the past two weeks,” Carmichael said.
“We’ve got a state of the art facility for service and parts, and we will be working extended hours to give people a chance to come and see us.”
Carmichael said that the Ford dealership on the site should be open by the end of this month, and that the growth at the auto mall won’t stop there.
“Once we’re done with the Ford dealership, our plans are to move forward and build more stores. We have space for five or six different dealerships, so we are moving full steam ahead,” Carmichael said.
“We have been talking to all the big manufacturers to fit what the best fit is for us out here. It’s certainly our plan to offer the big three domestic car dealerships at the same location so a Chevy/GM dealership would be high on our list.”
Carmichael said that he and his staff are very happy to be in a new building.
“We have a larger service space for lifts and other equipment that will allow us to do the volume that we’re looking to do,” he said.
“I’ve got a showroom that I can put seven cars in versus two, we have the space for a nice customer lounge with great seating, a flat screen TV and a coffee bar. It’s all geared toward the customer experience.”
A formal grand opening is scheduled at the auto mall for September 11.
“That will be an all day celebration celebrating our grand opening and our country and we will have a fireworks display at the end of the night,” Carmichael said.
Country artists Mark Chesnutt and Joe Diffie, along with The Dan Varner Band, 3 Piece Revival and Blessid Union of Souls will be giving concerts during the day. The gates will open at noon, with the fireworks scheduled for 9:45 p.m.
“Come out and enjoy our new facility and give us a chance to earn and keep your business, and be patient with us as we grow,” Carmichael said.
