Laser Tag at Mt. Orab Park May 6, proceeds to ‘Shop With a Cop’

By Martha B. Jacob –

The Village Park in Mt. Orab will be the scene of a first- time event on Sunday, May 6 featuring “laser Tag.”
Red Dragon Laser Tag, owned and operated by Gary Gould has been in business since 2009 when he first operated a paint ball business.
“I am very excited to be hosting this fundraiser for Brown County’s “Shop With a Cop” program,” Gould said. “This is a very special charity event held every years in the county. County and village police officers take a selected child at Christmas out for breakfast and lunch and shopping.”
Gould said he does a lot of mobile laser tag events, at a lot of fairs and festivals from Ohio to Florida.
Laser tag uses small guns which fire infrared beams. Infrared-sensitive targets are commonly worn by each player and are sometimes integrated within the arena in which the game is played.
Red Dragon Laser Tag consists of a specially designed course with inflatable bunkers and play area. The May 6 course in Mt. Orab will be set up in the park near Rt. 68.
“Kids and adults alike can play from noon until 8 p.m.,” Gould said. “The cost is only $1 per game or you can play all day for only $10 or $1 per game. All the money will be donated directly to the Brown County ‘Shop With a Cop’ program.”
Type of games include 5 minutes long, 8 plays per game. A prize will be awarded to the high score of the day.
