A Blanchester man was tased and taken into custody at the Mt. Orab Milicron plant on May 9 after pulling a gun on police officers.
Shawn Reynolds was being pursued by officers from the Blanchester Police Department who had word that he had gone to work in Mt. Orab.
Officers Jason Hahn and TJ Hubbard from the Mt. Orab Police Department went with them to the plant.
“Apparently, the HR department was already aware that there was a problem and had already taken control of Reynolds and walked him out of the building,” said Mt. Orab Police Chief Bryan Mount.
“He had a concealed weapon on him and as soon as he saw law enforcement, he started brandishing it and threatening suicide. He made the decision that he didn’t want to go to jail. They ended up tasing him and taking him into custody.”
Mount said that officer Hubbard was the one that tased Reynolds.
“I’m very pleased and proud of my guys that they were able to take care of this situation without loss of life,” Mount said.
Reynolds will face charges in Clinton County, but Mount said that he does not expect any local charges to be filed.
