Marjorie Louise Hitt, age 91 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. Marjorie was born February 25, 1928 in Dover, Kentucky the daughter of the late Harry and Leona (Myers) McDonald. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years – Clayton Hitt, Jr., one son – Richard L. Hitt, one grandson – David Hitt, two sisters – Della Farley and Frances Cummins and one brother – Harry Ward McDonald.
Mrs. Hitt is survived by four children – Ronald Hitt and wife Karen of Georgetown, Ohio, Timothy Hitt and wife Barbara of Batavia, Ohio, Regina Collins and husband C.J. of Mt.Orab, Ohio and Rebecca Tolin and husband James of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter-in-law – Wilma Hitt of Bethel, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Leona Fannin and husband Jerry, Robert Hitt, Megan Dotson and husband Randy, Hanna Koehler and husband Marty, Joshua Hitt and wife Melissa, Joseph Hitt and wife Crystal, Lindsay Sampson and husband Harry and Ian Scott and fiancé Cortney; nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
