PJ Trailers Company was first established in 1991 in Summer, Texas. The facility which is now located in Mt. Orab began in 2012 with 3,700 trailers being produced with 125 employees.

On Friday, Sept. 14, the Mt. Orab facility invited the public to attend a special ribbon cutting ceremony to open a new break room where its employees could relax and eat their meals.

“We are very excited to be opening this new break room for our employees,” said Scott Mullenix, manager of PJ Trailers, “Since first opening here our employees had to just find a place to eat, basically anywhere they could find. But with this new building, they should be able to come in and relax.

“We’ve provides vending machines and other things will be added later as we move forward.”

The Human Resources manager, Kevin Carpenter had arranged to provide box lunches for all 200 plus employees at PJ Trailers.

The Brown County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting in honor of the opening of the break room.

Chamber president Darrin Schneider welcomed everyone to the event which included Mt. Orab Mayor Bruce Lunsford, and Brown County Commissioner Barry Woodruff.

“I’ve been around this facility for a long time, even when it was Hawkline, when it started,” Schneider said. “I’ve been fortunate enough to gain a lot of business through my company, Colonial Fence. It’s been good to see it grow and become vibrant again and is extremely important to Brown County. I can’t give enough praise for the work that all theses guys here do.”

Today, PJ Trailers has grown to over 200 employees and production of over 6,500 in 2018.

P.J. Trailer Company was acquired by American Trailer World (ATW) in 2016 which also includes the following brands, Big Tex Trailers, Carry-On Trailers, R.C. Trailers, CM Truck Beds, CM Trailers and Tex-trail.

Following the ribbon cutting each of the employees enjoyed a box lunch and visited the new break room facility.
