The new Healthsource Ohio building at 631 East State Street in Georgetown is open for business.
“Everything is going extremely well so far. We plan to invite the public to an open house in the next few weeks to come see it. It’s a state of the art facility that is just incredible,” said Healthsource Development Officer Jennifer Patrick.
The doors opened on the $2.8 million facility on January 16. Patrick said that the new building is twice the size of the old Healthsource building. Five doctors and ten staff members are operating out of the facility.
Lab work is also done there as well, and Child Focus also has operating space.
Patrick said that the “flex care” portion of the building was not open yet, but would be soon.
Flex care is designed to offer evening and weekend services to residents from a separate entrance to the building.
Ground was broken on the project on April 27 and construction began in June.
Seven months later, the project was complete.
Patrick said in April that the new building could serve up to 2800 patients annually.
When asked what Healthsource was most proud of about the project, she replied, “The fact that we can offer family practice and pediatrics in Georgetown. It’s going to be just great for the community.”
