Investigation into death of woman and unborn baby

A Hamersville woman and her unborn baby are dead and an investigation is underway.
The Hamersville Police Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Office were called to 289 West Main Street in Hamersville on Tuesday, May 22 for a report of a pregnant woman who was not breathing.
32 year old Krista Keefer was taken to Anderson Mercy Hospital where she and her unborn baby were both pronounced dead.
Keefer was approximately six months pregnant.
A search warrant was executed at the residence by the Brown County Drug Task Force, assisted by the Hamersville Police Department and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
Evidence that appears to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found, according to information from the BCSO.
An autopsy on Keefer will be conducted by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.
