Sharon Katherine Edenfield, age 67, of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was born December 28, 1948 in Mariemont, Ohio the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ruth E. (Pfeffer) Swing. Sharon was a retired retail clerk from the former Biggs in Eastgate, Ohio and a devoted member of the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown Ohio. She had a passion for animals and gardening and enjoyed “rock hounding,” where she delighted in collecting shells and fossils. Her zest for life and her interest brought happiness to those around her and she will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Besides her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years – C. Richard “Scratch” Edenfield, whom she married July 31, 1971.
Mrs. Edenfield is survived by one brother – Thomas J. Swing and wife Kimberly of Monroe, Ohio; three sisters – Mary E. York and husband John of Oxford, Ohio, Deborah A. Swing of Oxford, Ohio and Christina Swing of Milford, Ohio; three nieces and nephews and two great nieces and nephew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 21, 2025 at St. George Catholic Church, 509 East State Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. Monday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Arnheim, Ohio.
