Connie Sue (née Maham) Beyer was born at home on October 8, 1954, to the late Joseph C. and Patricia L. “Patty” (née Moon) Maham. She was the eldest of four children. She passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Hospice of Hope in Seaman, Ohio.
On July 29, 1977, she married Darrell J. Beyer. They would have celebrated 48 years. They have one son, Benjamin J. Beyer. Connie had three sons from a previous marriage, Robert S. Dawes, Brian L. Dawes and the late Richard J. “RJ” Dawes.
Connie cherished her family. She was a worrier and would do anything to help them. She was a member of Mt. Orab Church of Christ and loved to sing. She participated in a singing contest in elementary school. She also played the French horn in the band.
Connie collected chickens as a hobby. She loved her Siamese cats. Darrell got her a new kitten for Christmas last year named Prudence!
Connie was never one to travel much, she was a homebody. She loved to watch the Bengals and soap operas! One of her last trips was to her son Brian’s in South Carolina.
In addition to her parents and her son, Connie was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Maham; her grandparents: Martin and Virginia Maham and Earl and Mary Lil Moon.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell J. Beyer; her children: Benjamin (Issy) Beyer, Robert (Tammy) Dawes, Brian (Victoria) Dawes; her siblings: Lu Ann (Bly) Dawes and Martin Maham; her grandchildren: Cody, Courtney, Cory, Ciara, Lillian, Elizabeth and Hannah; her sisters-in-law: Cheryl Beyer and Carol Beyer; and her brother-in-law, Clyde (Amy) Beyer; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support for the last few months while Connie was ill.
Funeral service 12 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154. Family and friends received from 10:30 until the time of service. Burial Sardinia Cemetery, Sardinia, Ohio. Pastor Greg Halcomb officiating.
