The popular ‘Tom Petty Tribute Band’ Full Moon Fever will take the stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday night August 18 at the Mt. Orab Park.
The opening act for the evening will be the Gen X Band beginning at 5:30 p.m. and play until 7:30 p.m.
“We are looking forward to these two bands playing next Saturday,” said Woody Whittington, coordinator of the Concert in the Park series. “We want to invite everyone out to enjoy these two concerts.
“Our ‘Beer Garden’ will be in operation like it is at every concert and as usual proceeds from the beer garden will go to the Christmas Parade Committee.”
“During the intermission, 7:30 to 8 p.m. there will be plenty of activities for the kids to take part in, like limbo, hoola-hoop contests and chicken dancing. The kids have a great time when they get together in front of the stage.
Whittington said the band Full Moon Fever is well known for their tribute to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers based out of Toronto Canada and have long been considered the #1 Tom Petty tribute band.
The band has also been heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, The Who and AC/DC.
The Gen X Band played at last years concerts in the park and was a crowd favorite.

The next scheduled Music in the Park summer concert will take place on Saturday, September 8 and will feature Noah Smith and 7 Bridges, the Eagles Tribute Band.
